PERMANENT MAKEUP

FREQUENT QUESTIONS ASK

1. Are you certified?

Yes, I am a certified permanent makeup artist with a license omitted by the state of WASHINGTON.

2. What is 3D eyebrow microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure in which a special hand eyebrow pen is used to draw strokes that imitate the appearance of the real hair of the eyebrows. Microblading creates the background and fills in the areas of the eyebrows that seemed empty so that a complete and complete appearance is achieved. The "3D" effect added realism to the final result.

3. What is the Ombre eyebrow tattoo?

Instead of creating hair strokes on the eyebrows like Microblading, this technique is a natural shading of a gradient effect from the beginning of the eyebrow to the end, starting from the light and fading to the darkness, gives your eyebrow a crisp but natural look.

4. What other permanent makeup services do you do?

I also do full lip blush, and eyeliner.

5. Does it hurt?

We have mixed reviews about pain. Everyone has a different level of sensitivity, so topical anesthetics are applied before and during treatment to relieve any sensation or discomfort. Music is usually played during the procedure, however, feel free to bring your own headphones and music to distract yourself.

6. Is it safe?

Absolutely. All supplies are disinfected and disposable.

7. Will I be swollen?

You won't be swollen, you might just have slightly red skin around your eyebrows, but this would last about a day.

8. Will I need a touch-up?

Absolutely! The required 4-6-week retouching will take place after healing. Within a week of your first treatment, the color will fade significantly and for the next four to six weeks it can continue to fade up to 50%. This is considered an extremely positive occurrence, since it gives you time to reflect on its shape and color. After this period, your follow-up appointment is carried out. At this point, any changes you want to make will be discussed.

9. How often do I need a touch-up?

To keep the results of your eyebrow tattoo looking fresh, we recommend a touch-up every year.

10. How long does it last?

It will be maintained as long as it is maintained. After a touch-up, eyebrows are expected to last 1 to 3 years depending on the tone of choice you prefer, skin retention, time in the sun and daily skin routines (more exfoliating products, the faster it fades).

11. Why do I need a touch-up if this is semi-permanent?

Because the color is implanted in the facial area, there tends to be more fluid circulation than other parts of the body. Your face sees the greatest wear and tear of any part of you: sun exposure, food, facial products, the list goes on and on. All these things make the permanent color fade, that's why you need a touch-up.

12. How long does it last?

The procedure lasts approximately two hours, sometimes more and sometimes less. Please allow a solid 3-hour window for your appointment. You probably don't need that much time, but this is not something I want to rush.

13. Do I need to take a day off from work?

No. There is no downtime associated with treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour later. Your eyebrows will seem darker at first, but not so dark as to prevent you from participating in your daily life activities.

14. How long does it take to heal?

Healing time varies from one individual to another. Usually, the epithelial cortex takes between a week and 14 days to form and detach. Your skin will be considered cured after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to sett on the skin. It should be a good month before you consider the complete process.

15. What can I not do after the procedure?

It is recommended to keep the skin clean and dry, which means not to swim, sweat or wet the area; do not tan or expose yourself to the sun for a long time; do not tear off, peel, scratch or rub the tattoo, this may result in a loss of color and scars. You can still wash your hair and face and once they are healed, you treat them as your own.

16. How do I extend the life of the procedure?

Your eyebrows will last longer if you apply sunscreen frequently and avoid abrasive facials in the eyebrow area.

17. How will you choose my color?

We are based on the tone of your skin and the natural hair of your eyebrows. Customers who are used to not having eyebrows for a long time may find these few weeks challenging. I usually advise customers who do not have eyebrows to start using pencil or eyebrow shading for some time before the process so that they get used to having an eyebrow.

18. Do you have to shave my eyebrows?

No. Everything possible is done to retain all the natural hair and integrate it into the design of permanent eyebrows. In some cases, where the shape of the natural eyebrow is required, it may be necessary to remove some hairs here and there to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result.

19. What if I don't like it?

Although the Microblading or Ombre shading tattoo is considered semi-permanent, the procedure allows flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. However, I will work closely with you to make sure you are satisfied with the proposed technique. I will allow you to have as much control as possible over the procedure, so there is very little room for error. If you don't like the decision you made, the retouching can be canceled and the pigmented area naturally fades over time. If you are not 100% sure that you would benefit from this procedure, opt for more temporary options.

BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE

Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will decrease and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to 14 days.

DO NOT take aspirin, fish oil, niacin, vitamin E and/or ibuprofen unless it is medically necessary, 72 hours before your procedure. Tylenol is fine.

DO NOT exercise 24 hours before your procedure.

AVOID sun and tanning one week before your procedure.

Discontinue Glycolics, Retin-A or Retinol products 4 weeks before the scheduled appointment.

DO NOT use AHA skin care products near the improvement area 2 weeks before and after your procedure.

If any cosmetic surgical procedure has been performed on the face area, wait TWO MONTHS for it to heal completely before the eyebrow tattoo procedure.

DO NOT consume any alcoholic beverage 24 HOURS before the scheduled appointment. This will prevent any excess bleeding, summaries and minimize swelling during the procedure.

If there are open wounds, pimples, bruises or any other skin irritation in the area; wait for them to heal completely before attending the scheduled appointment.

Please contact us immediately if it is necessary to reschedule due to this matter.

Do not shave, thread or dye your eyebrows a week before your procedure (I will shave the excess hair)

There are no facial treatments or chemical peels one week before the scheduled appointment.

If there is any exfoliating product at home, use it in the eyebrow area a week before the appointment so that the skin takes the pigments easily during the procedure.
